Hello grahamcracker
You can book tickets for the BBC Proms at the Albert Hall website.
I tried a few combinations of price and date and think you should have
no problems booking except for the "Last Night of the Proms" on
Saturday September 13th. which is already sold out, except for
standing (Promming) tickets.
Going through the booking process up to the point where you are asked
for credit card information, I found a choice of seats for the five
different dates I tried. These included the Saturday before the last
week and the final Friday of the series.
If you want to book several concerts, please note that the first
tickets you select will only stay in the "shopping basket" for 20
minutes, so there's no chance for leisurely browsing once you've
started your order.
This link will take you to the Albert Hall BBC Proms schedule:

Click on "September" in the left hand column. Then the list of
concerts offers you "more info" leading to a detailed concert program
like this:

Or click "buy tickets" which leads straight into the booking process.
Note that you can click on the wording below the seating chart to see
an enlarged map of the hall.

If you are interested in the Promming (standing) tickets, you can find
information on the BBC website here:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/proms/buytickets/season_ticket.shtml
The Promming tickets which you buy on the day at the door are the only
option left for getting into the popular "Last Night of the Proms". By
mid-June, the BBC say, "Last Night tickets have usually sold out". I
tried this out on the Albert Hall website and had no luck with finding
seats for September 13th.
"Promming on the day
Over 500 Arena and Gallery tickets (priced £4.00) go on sale on the
day 30 minutes before doors open (one hour before on days when there
are Pre-Prom talks).
These tickets cannot be booked in advance, so even if all seats have
been sold, you always have a good chance of getting in (though early
queuing is obviously advisable for the more popular concerts).
You must buy your ticket in person. Day tickets are available (for
cash only) at Door 11 (Arena) and Door 10 (Gallery), not at the Box
Office. If in doubt about where to go, Royal Albert Hall stewards will
point you in the right direction."

Buying tickets by phone:
Telephone booking ... Call the Royal Albert Hall Box Office on 020
7589 8212 between 9.00am and 9.00pm daily.
Buying tickets in person:
Visit the Royal Albert Hall Box Office ...between 9.00am and 9.00pm
daily.
Buying by post:
Royal Albert Hall, Kensington Gore, London SW7 2AP
I would not recommend buying by post as this might cause enough delay
to reduce the choice of tickets available.
"BOX OFFICE
The Box Office at Door 12, on the West side of the main entrance
opposite Kensington Gardens, is open 9.00am to 9.00pm seven days a
week. Bookings may be made in person or by telephoning 020 7589 8212.
Mastercard, American Express, Switch and Visa are welcomed. On postal,
telephone and on-line orders a transaction charge is made per booking
(irrespective of the number of tickets purchased)."

I hope this tells you everything you need to know but please don't
hesitate to ask for clarification if you have a query. I would be
happy to help further.
Good luck with buying your tickets and enjoy the concerts!
