Where can I buy very fine silver gift shred? (Gift shred is the stuff
used to fill easter baskets and various other gift baskets). The kind
of shred I'm looking for is used by the pretty box company
(www.theprettybox.com) in their fortune cookie favor box. You can sort
of see it in the picture if you go to the website, using the address
http://www.theprettybox.com/productDetail.asp?ProductID=151.
It's very fine, almost like silver hair. All of the gift shreds I've
found online and at craft stores has been way too thick and won't
accomplish the same look.

Does this look like what you are looking for?

Its described as follows:
Ultra-fine spun threads of colored copper can be pulled into airy
strands to shimmer around holiday decorations or nestle into a gift
box for a spectacular presentation.

Dear Googlenut,
The first picture looks much closer to what I'm looking for - the
second is the more common mylar shred found at most craft stores. The
sample that I have at home looks almost like an extremely fine silver
necklace... it has similar texture to a silver chain, only instead of
being a hard metal, it's made out of a tinsel-like material.
Thanks,
stackhousea

It sounds like, although it is close, the first one is still not quite
it. Unfortunately, I didnt find anything else that matches your
description.
Perhaps another researcher will have better luck.
Good luck with your search.

Thanks for trying.
To be more descriptive, the pieces have a sort of herringbone texture
(which is why i think it looks like a necklace)
