Hello there

As it states at the bottom of this page, " Answers and comments
provided on Google Answers are general information, and are not
intended to substitute for informed professional medical..."

So while we cannot say for a fact that the products you are asking
about are "The Cause," we can provide some information as to whether
they "Can Cause" which is a little different.

Right to the point - "horse chestnut seed extract may increase the
risk of bleeding. You may need to stop taking horse chestnut seed
extract before some surgeries..."
http://www.intelihealth.com/IH/ihtIH/WSIHW000/8513/31402/346383.html?d=dmtContent
- - farther down the page in this website you will that horse chestnut
combined with other drugs or herb supplements may increase the
bleeding factor somewhat more. - - The webpage is Intilil Health and
the medical information is provided by the Harvard School of Medicine.

Aescin "Horse chestnut extracts that contain aesculin may interact
with anticoagulants and increase the risk of bleeding."
 http://www.mskcc.org/mskcc/html/11571.cfm?recordid=437 - website of
Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center - you will find additional
information and warnings about horse chestnut as part of the site.

Astragalus membranaceus, may potentiate the risk of bleeding though it
does seem to enhance effects of immune stimulants.
http://www.7essentials.com/herbs/astragalus.shtml - Astragalus -
Website of 7 essentials to health

Since the above website may not carry the 'clout' information from the
Harvard Medical School or Sloan-Kettering might, here is another
website backing the claim about Astragalus membranaceus - "Because of
the herb's clot-fighting properties, it's best to avoid combining it
with other blood-thinners...You could face an increased risk of
internal bleeding."
http://www.gettingwell.com/drug_info/nmdrugprofiles/herbaldrugs/100130.shtml
- Astralagalus - Website of PDR Health

While there is no real evidence of your Echinacea causing bleeding,
there is anecdodal evidence connecting it to nose bleeds. There is
also the possibility that taking it for more than 8 weeks may cause
other problems such as hepatotoxicity.
http://floraleads.com/herbs4health.htm - "Herbal medicines in clinical
trials and laboratory research"

Thymus extract (bovine) seems to do a lot of good things but making
you bleed is not on the list.
http://www.healthwell.com/healthnotes/Supp/Thymus_Extracts.cfm -
Healthwell

There is also no obvious connection of Ligustrum lucidum to bleeding.
You will find an overview of the herb a little more than half way
down the page:
http://www.hepcchallenge.org/manual/appendix_tcm_final.htm - Website
is "Hepatitis C Choices Manual"

So it would seem that some of the ingredients in your medications
"May" cause or "Can" cause, but whether they "Are" causing bleeding or
related bruising is another story, in as much as interactions with
other drugs or supplements you may be taking, the length of time you
have been taking them, etc, etc, are also part of the equation and is
not presented here.

Search - Google

Terms - each of the ingredients mentioned above both separately and
combined with the word "bleeding"

If I may clarify anything before you rate the answer, please ask

cheers
