The subject line says it all. I'm trying to figure out when they'll be
clearing out the 2003 civics to make room for the new ones, so I can
get a 2003 for cheap.

Hi phish,

Regardless of the make of the car, the new year models are usually out
for retail sale by late August or early September.
Also you may be able to get a "deal" on a car that has just come "off
lease". Another good option is to attend a car auction. Usually these
cars are fairly new, but have been re-possessed by the lender due to
vehicle payment arrears.
Good luck!!!

Steph,

Would you think cars that were leased or repossessed would be more
likely to have hidden problems? I'm trying to save money, but not at
the cost of running into more problems down the road.

Hi again, phish...

I'm not a Google researcher but I just wanted to add a comment to your
question.
I like cars, especially Hondas as I am the owner of one as well. Great
cars, very little maintenance and they go forever!!!!!!!My sister had
one that finally died at 400,000 miles!

As for drawbacks to buying an off-lease or repossessed vehicle, as
these vehicles are being sold by a dealer, they would have gone
through a mechanical "certification " or "safety" that would eliminate
any major problems.
As well, most car dealers would let you take it to your own mechanic
if you still had any doubts.

Good luck and happy Honda driving :)
