I've found a jug that is marked "#2, Bangor Stoneware Co., Bangor
Maine." It measures approximately 14" tall. Is this suitable?

Stoneware jug must be embossed "Alfred Jones and Sons Bangor Maine."
Believe jug was originally used as container for bulk oyster purchase.
Item proably seventy-five years or more old. Jug would have to have
opening large enough to load and retrieve oysters, i.e. not a cork
type aperture. Believe jug had handle close to neck. Wish to
purchase. Hope this helps!
