Dear lacey1,

If you want to know what people really think about a certain company,
the best place to go might be message and discussion boards.

In rec.travel.europe, Øyvind Lyslo asked the same question you did. He
got the following responces:

"Carjet are often recommended by contributors"

"I had a very good experience with Carjet last August in Palma,
Mallorca. [...] Carjet gave me a nice little car (Ford Fiesta, I
think) for 260 euros - and it was available at the airport carpark
[...] I'd use Carjet again..." (Also in comparison to "Easycar"

"I've used them several times at Malaga. Unbeatable prices, no strings
or
unreasonable conditions, on airport locations. I wouldn't use anyone
else." (http://groups.google.com/groups?selm=3e236ff1%240%24239%24cc9e4d1f%40news.dial.pipex.com&oe=UTF-8&output=gplain)

"I have used them 5 times no problems the car is always there, no
hidden
extras and no fuss - also cheapest supplier of new cars"

"I just came back from a 2 + plus month stay in Marbella. I had the
carjet rental for the entire time. I would use them again in a
second. The car was great and they had the best price."

"I booked a Renault Clio via Carjet on a recent trip to
Alicante and I was told to collect the car from the
Auriga Car Hire desk on arrival.

I got a free up-grade to a Renault Megane diesel (brand
spanking new with only 34km on the odometer) but we
found out that the car was supplied with a full tank of fuel
(46 euros extra) and that there would be no refund if we
returned the car with any fuel left in the tank.

It worked out OK for us as we travelled more than 950km
during the 10 days that we were there, but it would be
expensive for anybody who just hired a car for a couple
of days. " (http://groups.google.com/groups?selm=hhid4v0rcdec4fsj8ir755ef6im6uft3mg%404ax.com&oe=UTF-8&output=gplain)

"We used them last Sept and I would use them again. We were upgraded
to a
diesel Renault Scenic. We are not used to returning a car "empty" but
it's
not a hard concept to adjust to. I would use them again. We were very
satisfied. I usually use AutoEurope and they were unable to match the
price
and zero deductible."

"I've got a holiday booked for a week in La Palma and i'm currently
looking
at car hire... I booked through carjet.com when i went to the
canaries a
couple of years ago. We'd booked a VW Golf but when we got there they
tried
to palm us off with a Daewoo Matiz, which has a boot the size of an
eggcup -
hardly enough space for our hand luggage, let alone our suitcase.
I'll give
the local company credit though, they did give us a full refund and we
went
and got a Golf from another company there and then, which worked out
OK (but
might not have done)."

"I've just got back from Malaga last week after hiring a Renault
Scenic with
Car Jet.
I was very pleased with the service. The desk is in the arrivals
terminal
and is the first car hire desk, so u don't have to carry you're
luggage too
far.
The service was good enough and the car was clean and in good
condition.
My father has used easycar in the past and he said carjet was far
better and
far more convenient because the desk is in the terminal.
We didn't have to worry about extras (fuel & mileage) unlike some of
the
other hire companies.

I would defiantly recommend them and I will be using them myself again
!!" (http://groups.google.com/groups?selm=Cnd7a.8258%245u2.66039857%40news-text.cableinet.net&oe=UTF-8&output=gplain)

"I booked a Renault Clio at Alicante airport via the CarJet
website and was told to collect it from the Auriga Car Hire
desk. I got a free upgrade to a Renault Megane which
was brand spanking new with only 34km on the clock.

Excellent prices and good service. I would recommend
them." (http://groups.google.com/groups?selm=kqer5v8ecchsuir920ffihv9lgp3i920vc%404ax.com&oe=UTF-8&output=gplain)

In other words, there are very few complaints on this company and its
reputation is generally very good.

I hope this helped. My search strategy was to search reviews on the
companies, unlike things written by the company itself. If you need
any clarification on this answer, please let me know.

Dear lacey1-ga,

Good day!

CarJet Spain claims to be the no. 1 car rental broker for five years!
Also, it operates in UK, Portugal and Gibraltar besides Spain.

I think that is sufficient enough reason to classify it as a reputable
company :) The following link also has some customer testimonials
about CarJet (please note that the testimonials are quite old)
