Hi Mersaka,

Since you are also being prompted with time and date error and F2 to
enter setup after you installed the RAM, it is likely that you have
accidentally removed or tampered a jumper or bios on your motherboard.
Your "diskette drive A error" may have been caused by you accidentally
loosening the floppy cable when you installed the RAM.

Could you please clarify some things:

What are the specs of your NEC computer - processor speed, bus speed
(100 or 133mhz), plus other details?

How much RAM have you installed? 64, 128 or 256MB?

What is your BIOS - Award, AMI?

Please give as much info as you can because it will help. Thanks.

Regards,
Feilong

Hello mersaka,

Can you take out the new RAM module, leave the old in and reboot to
see if you get the same error? If you can tell us what happens, this
will help us in troubleshooting.

Thanks for the clarification -
SgtCory
