I need to contact the company who makes BubbleStream kitchen faucet
aerators.

Briefly, here's my story -

A group of us stayed at a condo in Mammoth Lakes, California. The
kitchen faucet had an aerator on it I had never seen before. You know
how with most aerators you push to get a stream and pull to get a
spray? Well, this one had a little side-to-side button for
stream/spray which my wife fell in love with. I took a closer look at
it and the only identifying thing I could find was the word
BubbleStream in very small letters. Now, I have no idea whether
BubbleStream is a manufacturer or a model or a brand name or a
particular product line. Here's what I have been able to find out -

I have been to almost every plumbing supply store for 50 miles around
the Riverside/San Bernardino CA area without luck. No one has even
heard of BubbleStream so cannot tell me if it is a manufacturer or
not.
I was told by someone that BubbleStream is a manufacturer but that
they were bought out by NeoPerl. A call to NeoPerl proved this false.
They stated that BubbleStream was a competitor but could not provide
me with a phone number.

A complete answer would provide me with the phone number of the
company which manufactures this aerator; failing that, I will pay for
the verifiable information that such a company no longer exists. I
will take it from there, and you will have the satisfaction of having
made me a hero in my wife's eyes . . .

Dear imthurn,

After everything else failed, I have searched the United States Patent
and Trademark Office's online database of trademarks for both
"BubbleStream" and "Bubble Stream". The latter proved to be the right
one:

Under the registration number 0683525, the word mark "Bubble-Stream"
was registered by Wrightway Engineering Co., 112th Place, Chicago IL,
on 18 August 1959. The goods and services relating to this trademark
were: "Shower heads and water aerators".

Wrightway Engineering is not existing anymore, but at some time
between 1959 and 2000, the trademark "Bubble-Stream" (and most likely
also the product itself, since the goods and services section was not
changed) came into possession of another company: Beatrice Foods Co.,
also of Chicago.

On 23 December 2000, the trademark "Bubble-Stream" was cancelled by
the owner, Beatrice Foods. Since that time, "Bubble-Stream" is not
claimed as a trademark. This indicated that the product connected with
the trademark, the aerator, is not being produced anymore. And even if
it should still be in production - it would have changed its name by
now and thus extremely difficult to locate. But it is most likely that
the product has simply been cancelled.

You might, however, want to contact the last owner of "Bubble-Stream".
In case they have owned not only the trademark, but also the patent
behind the aerator, they might have sold or licensed it to another
manufacturer and can provide you information:

Downers Grove, IL 60515-1050
Phone: (630)353-5200

- Their other address in Chicago: -

- The business group that now owns Beatrice Foods: -

concerning the product you are so desperately looking for.

Well done. I had searched the Net myself with minimal success -- I
guess it helps if you know what you're doing ;-) Anyway, even though
the answer was not necessarily the one I wanted, it was exactly what I
asked for, and my quest for the perfect kitchen faucet aerator must
now be gently and quietly put to rest.

I found a plumbing supplier that claims to have these in stock,
www.wal-rich.com Their online catalog (
www.walrich.com/Online_Catalog/Sink2.pdf ) shows a drawing of a
display of these, although they are difficult to see they may be what
you are looking for. Their homepage has a phone number for them which
is 800-221-1157

Thank you for your comment. I had actually found this company via a
web search and called them about the very .pdf file you also found. It
was weird -- they could give me absolutely no information about a
product they carry! I don't know whether 1) their website has not been
updated for a long time, or 2) because they sell *only* to wholesale
outlets they don't even deal with the general public (me). For
whatever reason, this avenue dead ended on me also. I may call them
back in a few months to see whether I can get any farther.

Thanks again for the time you took to help me -- very much
appreciated.
