Hi elsmead!

That's a very good question!

The short answer is "No, not especially. But it's not bad for skin,
either."

Let's have a look at seminal composition first:

"The remaining 90% is referred to as seminal plasma. (Plasma is
defined as a fluid that carries a suspended solid, whether it's blood
"fluid" carrying blood cells, or semen carrying sperm.) Composition of
seminal plasma varies among individuals, and even in the same
individual from time to time. It contains some 30 substances (many in
minute quantities); some are produced by different parts of our male
anatomy, and some are by-products of body functions. They include:

• ascorbic acid (vitamin C, for tissue maintenance)
• blood-group antigens (from immune system)
• calcium (mineral)
• chlorine (oxidizing agent)
• cholesterol (steroid alcohol present in body fluids)
• choline (base, part of the vitamin B complex)
• citric acid (occurs during cellular metabolism)
• creatine (nitrogenous substance found in muscle)
• deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA)
• fructose (sugar used for energy)
• glutathione (peptide amino acid)
• hyaluronidase (enzyme)
• inositol (sugar found in muscles)
• lactic acid (byproduct of muscle use)
• magnesium (mineral)
• nitrogen (gas found in all living tissue)
• phosporus (mineral)
• potassium (mineral)
• purine (compound of uric acid)
• pyrimidine (organic base)
• pyruvic acid (formed from either glucose or glycogen)
• sodium (salt)
• sorbitol (body alcohol)
• spermidine (catalytic enzyme)
• spermine (ammonia compound found in sperm)
• urea (from urine)
• uric acid (from urine)
• vitamin B12 (for proper function of nervous system and metabolism)
• zinc (mineral)"

WHAT IS SEMEN MADE OF?

It sure doesn't look like a good moisturizer, does it? Salt, uric
acid, alcohol, zinc and chlorine aren't exactly known for making your
skin soft and smooth.

Someone posed this question, in conjunction with the safety of
swallowing semen, and got this answer from sex education and toy
experts, Xandria:

"It's about 95 percent water, with the rest comprised of sperm, sugar
and a few trace nutrients, among them, vitamin C and zinc. The average
ejaculate contains about 25 calories. We don't know of any research
showing that semen is good for skin. But again, it's certainly not
harmful. "

...as well as wondering about the use of semen as a facial cream:

"There’s no harm in it. But it’s a stretch to call semen a facial
cream. Semen is mostly water with a little sugar, vitamin C, and zinc.
Rubbing it into your face would be approximately like rubbing in a
spoonful of warm sugar water."

Calgary Health Region Healthy Communities says the same thing:

"Q: I know I am healthy, and I have been tested for all major
diseases, and every thing came up negative. Is it ok to eat your own
sperm? Also, is sperm good for your skin? I heard it could be used as
a cream for skin softness. Thank you

A: If a person is not infected with an STD, there is no harm in
swallowing semen (the sperm-containing fluid a man ejaculates). There
have not been any studies to show whether semen is good for the skin."

There is no medical evidence indicating that semen is good for one's
skin.
