Question ID: 222310
Are there any free, downloadable programs on the web that can convert
RealAudio's .ram files to .wav files WITHOUT having to rerecord with a
mic? Although I've been able to accomplish the latter, it results in a
.wav file with a background hiss.

It's likely that you'll find nothing for free. I've been searching for
such software, and had no luck. There's shareware, but no freeware.
What I've found though have purchase prices of no higher than $30.

Just downloaded and installed the program suggested by jackburton, and
it worked like a champ. Please make that answer official and I'll rate
it.

go to rawavrecorder.homestead.com it's a converter for many types of
files.. including RA and RAM. The only issue is that you have to
playback in realtime.. it does work very well though..

Happy recording!
