Greetings Awave,
Well, for one thing, I believe there is no 100% sure and safe way to
reverse the effects of eye disorders such as hyperopia. Also, surgical
procedures are always risky, and theres even the possibility of a
good surgeon making a mistake. But dont let that scare you if youre
the one desiring an operation. There is so far only one new method
devised, and its Conductive Keratoplasty. Lasik surgery is still the
more common among the high-end treatments for Farsightedness. I have
collected various links on treatment options for hyperopia:
Firm offering new farsightedness treatment - 2003-03-24 - Cincinnati
Business Courier

- This newly approved (in 2002) treatment is called Conductive
Keratoplasty (CK), which tries to reshape the cornea with radio
frequency energy. I think Lasik surgery is the latest before it. Its
new though, so theres no definite evaluation yet to claim if its a
success or failure. But the general word on it from the websites below
sounds good.
