Why is Pfc. Jessica Lynch is missing on Google images?
This is the same person whose name appears in more 
than 1,500 news articles.

Although there has been a huge amount of discussion online about the
timimg and frequency of updates of Google's web index, there is none
on the image index, except that it is independent from the web index
and uses a different spider (Googlebot-Image).

If the missing images are a conspiracy, then it includes AlltheWeb:

.... but not AltaVista:

I tried searching for some recent images and they were also absent
from Google's image search. It's simply a case of Google's image index
not being updated for a while.
