I want to download a list of Weight Watchers Points for all foods.
This would list the various foods and the WW Point Count. I want to
eventually put this on my Palm. There is a web site that has this
information. I need specific information since I have checked many web
sites that list WW Points but they do not have this information.

jeannie223-ga,

I'd like the opportunity to answer your question! I have a resource
that contains many popular chain restaurants, detailed information on
many types of foods including ethnic cuisines, and other information.
"All foods" is a little broad, but I think the site I have here will
handle all but the most obscure queries - it's quite exhaustive. The
information I have isn't in Palm format, but I also have some
awareness of a program used for keeping track of WW points with some
lookup functions. Would this be suitable for you?

Thank you. I am only interested in the Points for Weight Watchers. I
have joined Weight Watchers wherein they allow you a certain amount of
Points daily based on each food you consume. For instance, a slice of
low calorie bread is 1 point. There is a Web Site that lists this
information for downloading. They also include a journal where you
can keep track of your daily points.
I have searched the web but am unable to find this Point List.

jeannie223...

I have located a list containing over 900 items.
It is not in a downloadable format, but you could
copy and paste the information into a text file,
or I can do that for you, if you wish, and make it
available to you to download. Will this do?

jeannie223-ga,

Thanks for the opportunity to answer this question!

I feel pretty reliable that the website you're looking for is Dotti's,
http://www.dwlz.com/WWinfoTOC.html. This site seems to contain all
popular Weight Watchers point listings, including ones for
restaurants. The daily journal feature you're looking for is also
available on this site.

As far as finding this information in Palm format, most of the
Palm-based WW calculators have been removed from the Internet at the
request of Weight Watchers, but Dotti's site should provide you enough
information to put this data into your Palm-based organizer, perhaps
using text files, as sublime1-ga suggests. (One of the programs was
called WWCalc).

I hope this information was what you were looking for. As always,
feel free to post a request for clarification if you have any
questions. Thanks again!

Best regards,
arimathea-ga

I have gone to the sites mentioned and can find no listing of Weight
Watchers Point for each food item. Please be more specific. thank
you very much.

On Dotti's site, you'll see "Point Finds" - under these links will be
a list of points for each food, including restaurant foods.

Thank you but the list I am looking for is alphabetically by food,
then points.
The list on the site is by Points, then food. This would be too
awkward to use. There are some members of my Weight Watchers group
who have had this on their Palm by food.

jeannie223-ga,

If they're using the WWcalc program (which is no longer available),
this would be true. It alphabetizes this data by food.

The WWcalc data and the program have both been removed at the request
of Weight Watchers. I can try to find an alternative source for you.

Thank you for your trouble but I think I will give up on it. It also
might be difficult for me to download it if I do fnd what I want. The
Weight Watchers sells a Calculator which I think lists what I want. I
did not want to carry arround a Palm and the Calculator but I will
have to decide. Thank you .

FYI - Dottie's points listing is not up-to-date. It uses the old points system.

The comment about Dotti's points not being current is not entirely
accurate:

Points in Black Bold are figured according to the Original 123 Success
Points Plan (use nutritional labels as is; no fiber cap).
Points in Red Bold are figured according to the 2001 Winning Points
Plan (no more than 4 gram fiber rule). If you do NOT see Points in
Red Bold it means that the Points are the same for both Programs and
you would use the Black Bold points.
Please remember that my Points are usually half a point higher than
those in your WW Point books -
WWer's rounds UP or DOWN in their Point figures whereas I round ALL my
Points UP to the nearest Half Point.
