I am doing a research on museums, archaeological - historical sites and cultural institutions in general, that are using computerized information systems for their visitors. I am not interested in audio guides or any form of portable devices, but on non-portable applications, like info-kiosks. So, I would like a list of cultural institutions around the world, that are currently using or have used in the past such applications. I am also interested in comments coming from end-users or museum and other experts, about their use and how succesful they were. |

There's an article in today's San Francisco Chronicle that covers this subject. It was originally published in the Boston Globe. http://www.boston.com/dailyglobe2/174/business/Exhibiting_technology+.shtml Exhibiting technology Museums and tourist attractions have become high-tech incubators to attract visitors By D.C.
