Question ID: 223480
I recently was at a web site where I pressed a contact button and was
asked to log on to Microsoft Passport. When I enter my user id (Email
address) and password I get a message "web site found" but the web
page never completes loading. I tried disabling my firewall but still
get the same results which is nothing. When I go directly to
Microsoft Passport, it works fine, I can enter my password and view my
profile and whatever. But anytime I try to get accepted by Microsoft
Passport when being linked by another web page, it doesn’t work. This
is not the first time I have had this problem. Appreciate any
response.

Can you give me an example of a website where this happens?
What browser and operating system are you using?

Hello ddbbdd,

I believe that I can help you solve your problem. After researching
your problem and contacting Microsoft directly, they told me that I
should direct you to this page:
http://register.passport.net/contactus.srf?lc=1033

After you enter your information on that page, and describe the
problem, Microsoft Support will contact you within four hours with a
resolution to your problem. The reason it that it is better if you
contact them directly, is that they will be able to see what is
happening to prevent you from entering third party passport websites.
It could be that something is not properly configured on your account,
or another problem. They told me to tell you to be sure to describe
exactly what the page with the error looks like (if no error given,
just describe what the page looks like).

I hope that this will be a satisfactory answer for you. If they do not
resolve the problem for you, please let me know and I will do my best
to further assist you.
