Alonso Castro was a NYC-based modern dancer / choreographer, who had
his own company of modern dancers in the 60's & 70's. I need his date
& yr. of birth.  He might have died.

Hi Bluestreak!  Glad to see you again!  It may be that Scriptor is
correct on his location of the info for Alonso Castro.

Associated with Castro, I found the name and contact number of a
gentleman, Stefan Deutsch, who was a principal dancer with his company
in the 1970s.  I phoned Mr. Deutsch from public contact info in the
form of a press release at
http://press.longisland.com/press.php?ID=3407.  He was very gracious
and intrigued by the Google Answers process.

Mr. Deutsch stated that he recalled Castro as in his late 30s, early
40s in the 1970s.  I gave him the date info Scriptor found and Mr.
Deutsch said that sounded about right but he had lost touch with
Castro.  He recalled that his birthplace was possibly in Peru.

I told Mr. Deutsch I would send the URL of this question to him and
explained that he may sign up for Google Answers and comment directly
to you on this question.  I thought his recollections might be of
assistance to you and I hope he decides to participate in this forum.

I have seen the SS death index listing, but I've been unable to
establish any linkage. So I am willing to believe that listing is the
right person.  But unless I can link it to him, what can I do? But I
do thank you for helping me.
