It was an R&B ballad. It was a hit..at least in Pittsburgh, at least
32 years ago.  The song was sung by a woman and she was not a famous
artist.  I have the complete lyrics, but I haven't successful with any
of the search engines that I'm aware of.  The first verse and chorus
are as follows...
