Question ID: 224162
How can I tell whether my 25' ferrocement sailboat was designed by Jay
Bedford? (The boat dates back to the early 70's, I think, when he was
working in the Seattle area and specialized in designing ferrocement
boats). (I don't have the blueprints and need to add a mast, by
narrowing down who built it I hope to get a source for its
blueprints).

Hello iciclecreek,
I didn't expect to get a reply to a series of e-mails that I sent
trying to find an answer to your question and didn't keep records of
where I found the address of Paul Sarnstrom (hoh@montrose.net).
However, Paul did us a real favor and forwarded your question to the
leading expert in ferrocement sailboats. Today I received this reply:

Dear Redhoss:
I think you have the Vancouver 25' sailboat. When I looked on the
Benford Group WebPages it was under construction. Below is some
information to get in contact with them. If you have any questions
please let me know.

This should be the information you need to obtain the plans for your
boat. We owe a big thanks to both Paul and Martin for taking the time
to help. I guess that people who like ferrocement construction are a
close knit group.

Good sailing, Redhoss
