We need a list of all websites which touch baseball ... from
professional teams, to little league, to fan clubs, to coaches, to
college teams, to umpires, to stadiums ... you name it, we want to
know what the sites are! Please advise.

Requesting *ALL* of anything tends to be a fairly ominous request
which traditionally doesn't attract a lot of willing researchers.
Maybe you should specify a certain workable number of sites for the
price you have selected in hopes of attracting a better answer.

Any recommendations on the number? I have no idea.

Clarification: We would like a list of the top 25 websites which
reach baseball enthusiasts ... better?

That might be a better draw. Let that coast a while and see what
happens. If someone offers to come up with, say, 20-25 of any sites
(regardless of whether they are considered "Top Sites") you can always
decide then if you will accept that as an answer. Give it some time
and see if you get any bites.

I have complied a list of 30 Major League Baseball

sites that rank very high on Google's Page Rank. I

have included a variety of sites including

Up-to-the-minute scores, Memorbilia, Stats, Records, Reference,

Hall-of-Fame, Links directories, Commentary and

opinions, Blogs, Betting, Satire, Science, and more...

If this will be a satisfactory answer, please let me

know and I'll post it.

Question: did you just use google to search? Any other steps in the
process? Could you incude sites reaching Little League players,
parents and coaches as well as HS and College players, parents and
coaches. That might broaden to capture more of what we're looking
for.

Hi! Thanks for the question.

When tackling an enormous list like this across a category and you
want as comprehensive a coverage as possible, it would be wise to look
at lists or web directories so you could get a lot of baseball
websites arranged by different categories. I will list here some
baseball website directories.

Did you come across any rankings of the overall sports sites (eg:
si.com, espn.com, etc.) We'd love to understand which place people go
to most for baseball information. Any way to find that?

Hi thanks for asking a clarification before providing a rating.

I was able to find some figures on the popularity of some sports
websites but these numbers are not in particular to baseball.

" ESPN.com generated nearly 350 million page views in August, compared
to the 186.8 million for the SportsLine.com sites and 40.7 million for
CNNSI.com; · In August, users spent an average of 59.7 minutes on
ESPN.com, compared to 47.8 minutes for the SportsLine.com sites, 16.6
minutes for CNNSI.com, and 5.6 minutes for FoxSports.com; · ESPN.com
accounted for 60% of all August page views generated by ESPN.com, the
SportsLine.com sites, CNNSI.com and FoxSports.com."

"ESPN.COM CONTINUES TO REIGN AMONG SPORTS SITES; SITE CONTINUES TO
SHOW YEAR-OVER-YEAR GROWTH"
http://espn.go.com/pr/s/010919MediaMetrixAug.html

"In a recent survey from Harris Sports Interactive, more than 5,500
people who actively visit sports sites ranked their favorite sites.
Broken down by age demographics, ESPN.com was the undisputed leader
with 33% of 18-24 year olds and 25% of 25-34 year olds listing
ESPN.com as their favorite sports site. In those same age categories,
runner-up SportsLine.com earned 1% and 3% of the votes, respectively.

In the list of baseball website directories provided by
easterangel-ga, I want to make a correction regarding the Enlexica
Baseball Directory. This site is now called Baseball Links and is
located at http://www.enlexica.com/sp/bb/links.htm.

Good luck,
rhk
