Hello -

Well, a gallon is = 3.9L so, there are 3.9*54 = 211 L in a hogshead.

Beer has a density ranging from 1.004 to 1.060 kg/L:
http://hypertextbook.com/facts/2000/BlairElefant.shtml

which gives a range of 212 kg to 224 kg.

Note - a hogshead is also sometimes defined as being 63 liters:
http://www.ceramics.com/mass3.html
http://www.kancoll.org/articles/eberly.htm

for which the answer would be 246 kg to 260 kg.

Let me know if you have further questions.

It should be noted that the 54 gallons in a hogshead of beer are
generally understood to be imperial gallons, not U.S. gallons.
