I have a business contact that ships the same product we ship, which
is mopeds/motor scooters. The scooters are wood crated, the
dimensions are 4'x2'x3', and weigh 215lbs. They ship their scooters
into the Port of Los Angeles and then have them freighted from a
central terminal in Los Angeles to terminals around the country. They
pay between $30 and $56 for the freight cost, depending on where the
crate is traveling.
It is important to note that the crates are not being shipped to a
business or a residence. They are simply going to the closest
terminal.
I know that they negotiated a fantastic deal. I need to find their
source, or one with similar pricing.
We ship 50-100 of these crates each month, and will be shipping
150-200 within 3 months.
We will ship subsequent shipments from Los Angeles also. At present,
we are shipping from Oklahoma City. |
