Are you looking for the purpose of the bar end weights, or a source to
purchase bar end weights for your specific motorcycle?

i'm looking for the purpose of the bar end weights cause i'm looking
into buying a set for my bike but if i don't know their purpose or if
they would just make my bike look better. i'd still like to know what
overall effect to the bike would be.

Greetings!

The primary purpose of bar end weights is to reduce vibration in the
bars. A set of bars without bar end weights has a very high resonant
frequency, and the vibration from the motor is easily transmitted
through the bars.

However, by adding the weight of bar-ends, the resonant frequency is
lowered, and the 'buzz' or vibration in the bar is reduced.

The secondary purpose of bar end weights is cosmetic, as you have
noted.

Search Strategy:
motorcycle bar end weights Concours OR st1100
://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=motorcycle+bar+end+weights+Concours+OR+st1100&btnG=Google+Search

Also, I have owned both the Concours, known for the 'buzz' in the
grips and the ST1100.

I hope this helps you in your decision; if you need further
clarification, just ask!
