Is it possible to create a master blog configuration using Moveable
Type and then "clone" the blog to create multiple blogs (rather than
having to spend a lot of time creating each blog one by one even
though all the settings -- templates, categories, etc. are all the
same for each blogger). I would like to create hundreds of blogs by
creating one "template blog" and then copying the structure to the
other blogs.

I don't want to take an answer away from a searcher, but it doesn't
look like you will be getting an answer from one of them, so I am
posting this comment.

I don't have an answer for your question, but I can point you in a
direction.

Log on to the Movable Type site (www.movabletype.org) and click on
"support." You have to register (no charge) to post a question, but
you may get a response from them.

Please note, when you log on, it is "www.movabletype.org." There is no
"e" after the "v".

Happy blogging.

I would also recommend the Movable Type forums. I got a serious amount
of help there when I was setting up my Movable Type blog.

I've just tried to do in my own webspace what you're trying to do, but
was unable to quickly succeed. It's very easy to create a second (or
subsequent blog) but I couldn't actually see it within my webspace.
Strangely I can't seem to delete it either.
