Running Explorer 6.0 and XP Home Edition. I have autocomplete turned
on and had it working at one time but it fails to work now.
I had a problem with Windows updates before Service Pack 2 and had to
do a repair install which fixed the autocomplete problem temporarily.
I DO NOT want to do another repair install as the list of updates and
chances of failure again are too long.
The window asking me if I want to save passwords appears for NEW
passwords but I NEVER get an updated autocomplete when returning to
same form.
Again this problem concerns FORMS for passwords and shopping carts
etc.
THe Explorer address bar works fine.

Hi immike,

Just to confirm that you've done this:

Open Internet Explorer
Tools>Internet Options>Content tab>AutoComplete
Personal Information
Check "Usernames and passwords on forms"
Check "Prompt me to save Passwords".

If you haven't already found Kelly's Korner, now is a good time to do
it.

you find answers to the problems some users have with Windows XP. I've

5) Do you have HP? According to this forum:
"When logged in as owner, autocomplete does not work when filling out
a form.
It does work, however, in the address bar, and also in Outlook
Express. I
went to HP support and they said that the Owner/Administrator login
doesn't
save passwords, etc. This is for security reasons. We were told to set
up
another account, assign it as limited, and log in on that account. We
did
that, and yes, the autocomplete works."
