Hi, Bogart ~

As you know, West Center was a part of Tucson General Hospital, both
of which are now closed and out of business. I live in southern
Arizona and am very familiar with the excellent services Tucson's West
Center offered and the effect its closing, and later, Tucson General
Hospital's closing had on the community.

West Center closed first (in 1997); and later, Tucson General Hospital
closed. When West Center closed, they posted a Legal Notice announcing
their closure and how to obtain medical records. They are required to
keep medical records for five years, although they still had records
from longer than that.

The Tucson General Hospital campus and facilities are now occupied by
University Medical Center.

Contacting UMC's record department is where to start ...

University Medical Center
Medical Records Department
1501 North Campbell Avenue
Tucson, AZ 85719
Phone: (520)694-0111

I use the word "start", as UMC assumed some records from Tucson
General Hospital, and may be in a position to help you determine the
ultimate disposition of the records you seek.

There is no one place where any existing records may reside at this
time, and there is a chance that the records may have been destroyed
as well.

At least University Medical Center offers a place to start.

Search terms used:
 - "Tucson General Hospital" + "West Center"
 - "Tucson General Hospital" + medical records
 - Then picked up the phone and called UMC

Good luck in your search.
