I sent this to you several weeks ago for a fee but never heard back.
I want to know information about an artist, A. Vander Velde. I have
one of his paintings from 1895. I believe he may be Dutch or Flemish.

Hi mrspeaker!!

I need a clarification about this question. I searched for answer it
and found the following info:
The surname Van de Velde sometimes is written as Van der Velde (in
several places both versions are listed).
With the initial A I found a well knowed artist called Adrian or
Adrien Van der Velde or Van de Velde. But this artist is from the 17th
century.
The only painter Van der Velde or Van de Velde from the last decade of
the 19th century is Henry Van de Velde:
Henry Van de Velde was a Flemish architect, painter and decorator
(1863-1957). He painted landscapes in neo-impressionistic style. He
was one of the leading figures in the creation of ART NOUVEAU in the
1890s.

Are one of these artist the one that are you want to get information?

Thank you

I don't know what else to provide. It is clearly dated 1895 and
signed A. Vander Velde. It is an oil painting I purchased in London
several years ago on Portabello Road in an antique shop. Just a woman
sitting in a kitchen with her cat. Not a wealthy person from the
setting and dress.
