Hi there,
I have a rare antique car and I was wondering if there are web sites
through which I could list my car's availabilty for rental for
commercials and movies. If you could please obtain 5 sites of
companies on the east coast of the USA, I would be very appreciative.

Hi Dflo,
Yes, there are sites where you can advertise your car for this
purpose. I found five in total, but none are based on the west side,
though should not be an issue as most of these companies represent car
owners all across the USA.

I am in the business of finding cars to be used in movies, television
commercials, photography shoots, etc. worldwide. Your vehicle(s) info,
name, and phone number, are kept on file here in California, and when
a call comes in from a studio or producer we select the car they
request. If your car is that selection we call you and inform you of
the scene. You are not obligated to let them use your car, and there
are no fees whatsoever.
If you indeed want them to use your car, you still have many options.
If you prefer to be the only one to drive or touch the car it isn't a
problem. We won't even hassle you with a call if we know in advance
that the actor would drive it and it is not your desire. We also work
around your schedule for getting the car to the set.
Money paid to you depends on a number of factors. A background car on
the back lot with other cars can bring in about $100 a day. If you
drive the car an extra voucher from central casting adds another $50 a
day. A lead car on a major motion picture commercial can bring $250 to
$500 a day, depending on the budget, value of the car, where and what
the car is doing, and the numbers of days it is needed. Your car is
always fully insured through the movie companies, etc. To answer the
question you're probably thinking, yes, you can be there to watch!"
Feel free to send email to mailto:laurelspixcars@cs.com with any
questions you may have. We want to make sure you are 100% comfortable
and satisfied with the system. Remember, "Your car ought to be in the
movies!" -Laurel"
