What version is your Outlook Express?
Also, have you been pressing the Enter key before finishing a line of
text, and is the autocorrect feature on? Perhaps your Outlook Express
is automatically correcting each line of text, making the first letter
capitalized when you press Enter. If this happens in received
messages, perhaps a certain text display setting is set to
automatically make each line capitalized as well.

Hi flash2,

Here you go...

"UPDATE: Daniel Vermeulen wrote in to tell me how to prevent Outlook
from capitalizing the first letter of each line: Go to Tools, Options,
Spelling, AutoCorrect Options and uncheck the second option from the
top, Capitalize first letter of sentences. Like many things in Outlook
2002, this option is really well hidden, but at least you can change
it."

rating my anwser.

Thank you,

Thank you, flash2, for your thank you and tip. Unfortunately you are
correct, it is not possible to tip for comments and clarifications,
only for answers.

If the AutoCorrect Capitalization option is unchecked, your wife
should be able to press the Enter key at the end of a line if she
wants to.

Sincerely, hummer

Yes, the Enter key was being used at line end and autocorrect checked
for 'Capitalization....'
Many thanks on my wife's behalf!
