Brian...

I'm so glad you asked this, so that, at last, this information
can be added to the great repository of knowledge that is
Google Answers.

If you think about it, it would be very un-Google-like
to leave you without a simple way to accomplish this.

Therefore, I rousted the Google programmers out of bed
and had them create a link, just for you...

Okay, just kidding...it's been there all along... ; )

At the far right of this line at the top of the page:

Q: Over 1,000 Comments, please! ( Answered *****, 610 Comments )

...the words '610 Comments' are linked. If you click on them,
it will take you straight to the Comments section, with
the first comment and the 'Add a Comment' button at the very
top of the page. This is also accomplished by URL:

http://answers.google.com/answers/main?cmd=threadview&id=161982#comments

Oddly enough, I actually learned this while dutifully
adding comments to Question 161982... : )

Of course, if you just want to view the last comment, just
grab the navigation bar and pull it to the bottom of the page.

I hope this small contribution to your general store of
knowledge will have you dancing in the streets with joy!

It just occurred to me to add something which may not
be immediately obvious. To save time and trouble, you
could just create a bookmark for the URL:
http://answers.google.com/answers/main?cmd=threadview&id=161982#comments

This will open the question right at the Comments section.
probonopublico-ga rated this answer:5 out of 5 stars and gave an additional tip of: $1.00
WOW, Sublime One ...

It works!

So does the bookmark!

Sorry, Techtor, but you've finished third.

Well, actually, that's not bad because the Sublime One has finished
sixth.

You see, I've had to deduct some points from Sublime One for
misspelling my name ... And the intended tip of $100 has also been
withheld.

Now, add 100 Comments to Question 161982 ...

'I must learn to spell Bryan with a 'Y'.

How about trying the Ctrl-F (Find feature on IE) shortcut, find the
word "comment", then just keep pressing enter until you reach the
comment box?
