I have Windows 2000 and Norton Systemworks 2003, Professional Edition.
I have been running virus scan regularly, on both my hard drives (C:
and F:), with no problems. However, at times Norton does NOT complete
a scan of an entire drive. It just stops -- with no message or
explanation, either. The only reason I know it has not complete is
that the number of files checked is very low. (I have a lot of files
and a good ballpark idea of how many on each drive, based on the times
when the scans do work, and the reports, which I keep.)

Yesterday, for example, I tried twice to run Norton, once on each
drive. Not only did it not complete, but in the list of reports, there
was no report of even a program start. If you're acquainted with the
program, you'll know that it records both starts and finishes. Also--
is there a better way to check on the program's operation? This is not
really a second question, I think; it's very connected.
Thanks!
bbb
