equal to its molecular weight expressed in atomic mass units." 
Chemical Principles, fourth edition, Dickerson, Gray, Darensbourg, and
Darensbourg, The Benjamin/Cummings Publishing Company, Inc., 1984,
page 37.

Therefore, the formula mass in the form of the molecular weight/mass
of the substance sought would be used to convert the substance sought
from moles to mass.
