Does anybody have access to a times series of glycerine and/or fatty
acid (oleochemical) prices? Preferrably going back five years on at
least a monthly basis.

I found averages prices per pound of glycerine in some months of 2001,
2002 and this year. But I don't think the website I found it on has
the prices for all the months of the years. I'll see what else I could
dig up.

The most authoratative source of chemical price information that I
know of is the Chemical Market Reporter magazine, which you can visit
at:

www.chemicalmarketreporter.com 

Note that they have a "free trial" button where you can sign up for a
week's free access.

I took a look at the site, and they don't seem to have time series
information, but they do have frequent reports of glycerine and fatty
acid prices.  Perhaps a researcher can peruse the site and compile
much of the price info you're seeking -- I doubt they can get a
complete time series, though, with all the months filled in.
