Hi - I have a mint condition, private owner, Annette Himstedt doll
named
'Mascha" She is from this year's collection of an edition of
277 and is
already scarce. There was one on e-bay within the last three
weeks.

I prefer not to put her on e-bay. Perhaps a private person or
doll
shop would buy her.(1) How would I best or where would I put
such an
'ad' ? (2) Some doll shops may have waiting lists of their
customers if a 'Mascha" shows up. I know that many (not all)
doll shop owners do
not like to 'overprice' a Mascha already in their inventory,
but I
do not think some owners would have any problem contacting a
client they know wants a Mascha. I wouldn't object then to giving my
e-mail to a prospective buyer.

I know you will want clarification of this unfocused message.
But there are questions in there that need answers, I promise.

*I believe no picture of Mascha is necessary

Dear pixie35-ga;

Thank you for allowing me an opportunity to answer your interesting
question.

I not only found a few places where you might have some success, I
found two potential buyers! :

NETWANTS CLASSIFIEDS
http://netwants.com/category/dolls.htm

You can contact this collector who, as of April 4, 2003 was
“desperately” willing to pay up to $800.00 for a Mascha doll.
http://netwants.com/adinfopages/ad2590.htm

Here is another from the same list (dated May 3, 2003) who is also
willing to part with $800.00 for the doll.

In addition, I have put together a short list of bulletin boards
related to premium doll collecting. The posts appear to be current and
the boards are all quite active:

VOYFORUMS: ALL ABOUT DOLLS

WORLD COLLECTORS.NET

THE LITTLE DOLL
http://www.littledoll.com/sell/sell.htm
(Buys and sells. Offers free value estimates – primarily for Barbie
but they do deal in other collectibles as well.)

UNITED FEDERATION OF DOLL CLUBS

(Perhaps these folks can help you find a buyer)

DOLL REVUE

(A directory of resources)

DOLLHOUSE FOR ALL
http://groups.msn.com/browse.msnw?catid=122
(Scroll down about midway. You have to join to get in but there is a
discussion about Himstedt dolls going on)

I hope you find that that my research exceeds your expectations. If
you have any questions about my research please post a clarification
request prior to rating the answer. I welcome your rating and your
final comments and I look forward to working with you again in the
near future. Thank you for bringing your question to us.

Best regards;

I am new to this, only my 3rd question, but I am assuming that this
message goes directly to you. When I first read through the materials
you sent me, I noted the words 'interesting question' Later on when
I put in your rating and read through some of the other work you had
done, I must admit I felt sort of a chasm between some of the really
important questions and my request.

I will be using google answers more frequently then I have in the
past and
hope to work with you again.
