In the future, you do not need to pay $200 to find out about a flight. You can call the airline for free or you can call a travel agent who will book a ticket (usually with a fee $25 or less). Or you can look yourself for free on travel.yahoo.com or orbitz.com or expedia.com. |

I suspect the author of this question may have been confused by the question page (as presented below). Maybe s/he wanted a price for a ticket, and thought the "set a price" was asking how much s/he wanted to spend. Given that the asking the question cost 2/3 the price of the ticket, it wouldn't make sense to post wanting the best price. The only other possible justification would be if the travel was urgent and most flights were booked out that day. However, it can be assumed from the reply that plenty of flights are available. As such, I believe that my hypothesis may well be valid. Enter your question below Subject: Enter the topic of your question for our researchers (e.g. "Hiking in New Mexico"). Question: The more details you provide, the better the results you'll receive. How to ask a great question. Price: Set a price between $2.00 and $200.00. How do I price my question? |

I agree that if someone had enough web smarts to post a question on GA then they probably did not mean to offer $200 for flight information. Perhaps they entered 2-0-0 and thought they were setting the price at $2. Maybe the asker will comment on their intentions? |
