Can someone who knows Javascript help me modify the page http://web4health.info/en/answers/psy-drug-interaction.htm so that the two windows you can open by clicking on "interaction calculator" and "medical dictionary" are shown both of them, and not one of them hidden by the original web page you started from. | |

Note to Researchers: This customer does not have the ability to change the content which appears in the popups. Any answer must require editing of the main page only. - Hammer |

One solution, not very neat, would be that I create two pages of my own, which include the pop-up-window content in frames within it. I will try to do it that way, unless someone else has some better idea. |

Someone seems to have removed the solution to my problem which was posted earlier. Unfortunately I did not make a copy of it, I do not understand why the answer has been deleted. It did contain a solution which I might get working, by using frames in the pop-up-windows, but now the answer is not there any more, and I did not make any copy of it! I never thought of the idea that the solution to my problem would be removed from Google Answers! Otherwise I would have made a copy of it before it disappeared! |

JPalme, I requested that my answer be removed because you indicated that it would not solve your problem and I didn't want you to be billed for an unhelpful answer. Here is the link to the FAQ code I posted in my answer: IRT.org Q1338 How can I keep two popup windows in focus? http://developer.irt.org/script/1338.htm Here is the rest of the IRT.org Javascript Window FAQ. There may be other snippets that will help you. irt.org - JavaScript Windows FAQ Knowledge Base http://developer.irt.org/script/window.htm Another Researcher may provide the additional code you need to use the window handles returned from window.open. I simply ran out of time to work on this. I apologize for any inconvenience caused by withdrawing my answer. - Hammer |

I have experimented a little with the Javascript code you suggested. But it does not work. Its effect is to force this popup window to always be in front, so that the user cannot even do something in any other window. What I want is the following: When people click on "interaction calculator" a pop-up window opens. When people after that click on "medicfal dictionary", then a second pop-up window opens, and **after** that, the first pop-up window is brought in focus. All in reference to my page at http://web4health.info/en/answers/psy-drug-interaction.htm |
