Where can i find directories of the best designed Weblogs (blogs)? Not
based on content, purely design and layout, features (such as email an
entry) etc. The only one I found was a joke directory

No, I'm seeking something purely about best designed blogs, this
judges them by many different factors

as an answer because blog design has improved substantially in the

Correct. And I also think it's limiting because it seems to be based
on the one platform.
