Question ID: 226691
I went mattress searching and visited the SleepTrain store in
Sunnyvale, CA. I found a Simmons BeautyRest Tribeca Ultra Plush, but
they are asking way too much for it.

I went digging around the Internet but they trickily change all their
mattress names so that I can't find a match anywhere else. I know
people have been able to get really pricey mattresses for cheap.

My question is - can anyone find me:

1) The other names for this mattress - (and prove they are the same
one)
2) The relative benefits of this mattress (e.g., MSI, etc...)
3) Where I can get a certifiably NEW one for around the $1000 price
point, including shipping. I am located in the Bay Area, California.

Suitable bonus will be granted if you can find me the mattress (+ box
spring) at the right price.

Hi again, Bubbles01:

I was just wondering if my comment provided any good leads to obtain
your matress at a discounted price.

Greetings Bubbles00:

I do love a good Nancy Drew mystery. lol That said, 1-800-Mattress
sells the Tribeca model as the Bradley Upholstered Pillow Top. The
gentleman I spoke with said they have a cross-reference sheet they go
by and he did not share the other names. He also said they did not
ship mattresses. Their image of the Bradley may be found at
http://www.mattress.com/itemdtl.php?itemid=53&catid=4. It states
there that it is an "Ultra Plush Summit Top"

The text with the image reads in part "The Simmons Beautyrest World
Class has a higher coil count than the traditional Simmons
Beautyrest." So, if the gentleman at 1-800-Mattress told me
correctly, you are most likely looking for a Simmons BeautyRest World
Class Ultra Plush Summit Top. But it could be a World Class
Exceptionale, too.

Without access to the cross-reference sheet that Simmons provides,
it's difficult to give you an answer. I searched for a
cross-reference sheet but did not locate one. Do you know anyone who
knows anyone who works at a furniture store? I don't, not one that
carries the Simmons BeautyRest line.

*********

According to the Simmons site at
http://www.simmons.com/products/productDetail_beautyrest.cfm, there
are three classes of mattresses:

Simmons Beautyrest

Simmons Beautyrest World Class

Simmons Beautyrest World Class Exceptionale™

***********

Here's one called the Eminence:

The World Class Eminence Pillowtop Mattress
http://xaosearch.com/1912958/Simmons_Beautyrest_World_Class_Eminence_Pillowtop.html

And here's the Tribeka...note the "k" here instead of the "c":
Simmons World Class Beautyrest Exceptionale Tribeka Summit Pillow Top
http://www.betterbedding.com/select_brands_simmons_d.asp?view=14

Also, see the various names at
http://www.mattresses-by-simmons-on-line.com/beautyrest.html -
Windsor, St, Gregory, Waterford and Verona

Those may not be your mattresses, however, but I do think that
"Simmons BeautyRest World Class Ultra Plush Summit Top" contains all
your necessary key words. If I were you, I'd phone back to the store
and ask them which class of mattress is the Tribeca and is it an Ultra
Plush Summit Top. If you know these things, then you can do a "parts
name" type of search. For instance, see the results for "Simmons
BeautyRest World Class Ultra Plush Summit Top" at
://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&q=Simmons+BeautyRest+World+Class+Ultra+Plush+Summit+Top
- you'll see the names Tribeka, Bradley, Nathaniel, Carlisle, Verona
and Commodore.

The prices are high, too. I saw nothing at your suggested price
level. I wish I could have completely answered your question and I
hope the time I've spent will assist you in determing which mattress
you are seeking.

Best regards,
journalist-ga

I was comparing the Bradley at 800 Mattress. They said the Carlisle,
which is sold by us-mattress.com, is exactly the same as the Bradley.

US-Mattress provides much better specs, indicating the bed is an
Exceptionale, whereas 800 mattress has very little data, and does not
state Exceptionale.
