I want to get Benjamin Franklin, but not Benjamin Franklin Williamson,
Benjamin Franklin Jones, etc. How can I tell Google this? Using
this: "Benjamin Franklin" will not work; I will still get some hits
where Benjamin is the first name and Franklin is the middle name and
Williams or Jones will be the last name, or surname.

Larry,

Try using

"benjamin franklin" -*

There are still a very few returns like "benjamin franklin middle
school" and such, but it seems to filter out most of the incorrect
name returns. Here's a link to the search:

If this helps, I'll be glad to post it as the answer; just let me
know.

Best of luck,

Another suggestion is to use "Benjamin Franklin" in association with
something that he was commonly associated with:
"Benjamin Franklin" + Philadelphia
"Benjamin Franklin" + "Continental Congress"
