Are you hoping to obtain a tainer's certification for yourself or some
sort of certification that your dog is has undergone formal training?
Also, what type of training are you interested in (obedience,
security, seeing-eye, etc)?

I am looking for certification for myself, preferably obedience, but
I am also interested in training search and rescue dogs. I just
haven't found anything available in Sacramento.

I didn't find any in Sacramento itself but I did find some in your
regional area (two of which are in the bay area). Is this something
you might be interested in as an answer?

I am sorry to say that I am not interested in the bay area. I will be
moving north to Eureka, CA or somewhere in the vicinity by January of
next year. Maybe there is somehting in that area. Let me know.
Thanks.

So far the closest I've found is in San Leandro and Modesto.

I guess the only thing left to ask is, is there an "accredited" school
that I could do some kind of corespondence education? I really can't
go to any of the places you have mentioned. Thanks.

There is an accredited, distance learning school that has on the
ground, in person workshops in various areas. Go to the
http://worldofanimalscience.com/
site for the American Institute of Animal Science. They are also
certified to give CEU credits as well, something that most training
places are not legally certified to give (although they give them out
freely!).

I hope you find this useful!
