Hello211563-ga,

I located one P.T. Barnum letter dated November 30, 1887. It is priced
at $3,950.

Description:

American showman. AUTOGRAPH LETTER SIGNED, One page, Octavo, on
personal letterhead stationery with embossed monogram at the upper
left. Dated November 30, 1887.

“Dear Willie L. Thompson – I don’t often get time to answer letters –
but yours is so kind & I love children so dearly, and your photo shows
you as such a bright boy, I hasten to tell you my ‘Greatest Show on
Earth’ will next year be larger, funnier and more marvelous than it
ever was before. It will not perhaps get to Portland till late in the
season – as we go West first. Truly Yours, P.T. Barnum”.

In the same year as this letter, Barnum had formed the Barnum and
Bailey Circus with James Bailey, creating what he called “the Greatest
Show on Earth”. Absolutely amazing content from Barnum, promising even
better things next year for his traveling circus!! In very fine
condition. Without question, the finest Barnum letter we’ve ever
encountered. $3,950

While not an auction, the company offering the letter is one of the
largest dealers of historical autograph material in the United States.
The documents that are offered for sale by this company are guaranteed
without time limitations and for full refund of purchase price.

Unfortunately, I have not been able to locate any Red Baron items.

Would you be interested in the link to the catalog where the image of
the letter is included and the contact information for this company?

Thanks

I didn't have any luck with the P T Barnum items but I found a number
of items belonging to, related to, or signed by the Red Baron both for
sale and at auction.

Since I can't answer both questions you might consider posting a
seperate question related specifically to this particular inquiry. For
your convenience you may if you wish, address your new question to me
personally in your subject line (to: tutuzdad-ga) and when see it I'll
be happy to post that information for you.

Regards;
tutuzdad-ga
