Or will it come to a grinding halt when 665 appears? I refer, of course, to Question 161982. |

It will not come to a halt. If it gets up to 665 and nobody adds a comment, I will. I promise. Mvguy-ga |

Hey ProMan: Well, an interesting thing I was once told was that the number 666 was actually not a physical number per se but the sum of all the letters of the name of the "Antichrist". I was informed that the Jewish alphabet has numerical values for each letter so that all the letters of the name added together equals 666. I was also told that there are some scholars whose lifeworks consist of endeavoring to create names that add up to 666 so that they may recognize the name of the "Antichrist" if it surfaces. Not certain how true is any of it but I found it a very interesting concept. Best regards, journalist-ga |

Brilliant, Journalist! With your journalistic skills, we should soon be able to unmask the AntiChrist. The World will then owe you a great deal. A Knighthood? |

A ladyship, perhaps, ProMan. I've another friend who believes that the "Antichrist" will have to be a Pagan *woman* to be truly "anti". ;) Best regards, journalist-ga |

The fact that all ships are ladies is one of the reasons fire trucks are red. Actually the main reason fire trucks are red is Queen Elizabeth. Queen Elizabeth is also a ship. - Ships sail the seven seas. - Seas have fish. - Fish have fins. - The Russians once fought the Fins. - The Russians were Red. - Fire trucks are always rushin. - Therefor, fire trucks are red. I'm glad I could clear that up for you. digs |

If the anti-Christ turns out to be a woman, will we have to call her Auntie Christ? |

Hey Journalist -- It's true that every letter in the Hebrew alphabet has a numerical value. The use of such numbers is called Gematria. For example, the numerical value of "moshiach" (messiah) is 358. But that business with the antichrist is nonsense. There is no such word in Hebrew, since there is no such concept in Judaism. Now you know. All The Best, Ravuri-ga |

Hi, Ravuri Many thanks for your comment. I am sure that the whole thing is highly fanciful but evidently some folk do treat it seriously. |
