I am considering recommending Journalist for a DBE ...
A KBE or Knight Commander in the Most Excellent Order of the British
Empire and its female equivalent Dame Commander in The Most Excellent
Order of the British Empire (DBE) is an honorific knighthood in the
British honours system normally awarded to foreign nationals. As such
recipients are normally not able to use the appellation "Sir", but in
the case of the recipient subsequently adopting British Citizenship
(as in the case of Yehudi Menuhin and Jean Paul Getty, Jr.) the title
may be used.
Should I?
Please note that my recommendations are not always acted upon but I do
have an inside track to the Queen's Jester (Lord Jeffrey Archer) who
fixes these things. |

Lord Jeff is, indeed, currently in the slammer but he is due for
release within the next few days.
He is the same Jeffrey Archer who has authored several trashy books
and, naturally enough, these have made him bundles of loot.
I hasten to add that I have never read any of his trashy books,
largely because I prefer non-fiction. Or at least the stuff that
purports to be non-fiction.
I have heard nothing but praise for Journalist ... No skeletons have
popped out of her cupboard (yet) ... But I always worry about people
who appear to be too perfect ...
'Does she have a dark side?' I ask myself.
I shall now ask MI5 to carry out their usual investigations.

I've found the answer!
And it was staring me in the face!
Journalist herself wrote: 'Regardng J.A., might this be the same
Jeffrey Archer whose books I so enjoy??'
UUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH
Anybody who actually admits to enjoying J.A.'s books automatically
disqualifies him/her self from ever being tapped on the shoulder by
the Queen's sword.
This is to satisfy Health & Safety Regulations.
It would not be good PR, if Queenie should publicly behead one of her
Colonials.
Of course, what Queenie does in private is a matter between her and
her butler.

Dear PB,
Are you looking for this?
http://www.cabinet-office.gov.uk/ceremonial/index/honours.htm (the
form is at http://www.cabinet-office.gov.uk/ceremonial/index/nomination.htm).
I would actually like to nominate you, but after all, monarchy is a
bad thing. It's an aristocracy using the people's money to gain
fortune and generate scandals. Some of them have excessively huge
ears. Some wear funny hats. Some wear funny hats that will distract
our minds from their huge ears. You don't really want to be honoured
by such people, do you?

Many thanks for the links, Political Guru
Much appreciated.
And I am humbled that you consider me worthy enough to join the elite
company of Journalist & Pinky.
Maybe we could be ordained (if that's the right word together?)
It's not for me, you must understand, it's just a matter of duty.
Kindest regards
Bryan
