Hi Billsmomsfriend,

Since it's more than 30 days since the obituary was published, it's no
longer possible to freely access a copy of it. Would it answer your
question if I could provide you with information on which day in which
newspaper it was published, and how/whom to contact to purchase a copy
of it?

Dear billsmomsfriend,

The Google Answers editors removed my previous answer because one of
the links I copied and pasted the content from contained an email and
personal contact information, which is not allowed. I'm sorry for
this oversight on my part, and truly hope this delay hasn't caused you
any inconvenience. Please allow me to give you the information again
minus the unallowed content. If you follow the link, you'll be able
to easily find it yourself.

First of all, the obituary you need was published in the May 30, 2003
edition of The Register-Guard in Eugene, Oregon. This newspaper
archives obituaries online for 30 days, but after that time you will
need to obtain a hard copy of the newspaper in order to read it. Here
is a link with location and contact information for the newspaper:
http://www.registerguard.com/php/reachus.phtml

In addition (or instead) there is a person who saves and makes
available for others death notices and obituaries from the
Register-Guard of Eugene, OR. Her contact information is available at
this website: http://www.sos.state.or.us/pipermail/or-roots/2003-May/001683.html
where she posts an offer to assis those in obtaining this kind of
information. Quotes from Mr. Hinton's death notice and obituary from
the 5/30 issue are posted:

"HINTON -- William "Bill" Hinton, 55, of Oakridge, died May 28"

"William "Bill" HINTON of Oakridge d. 28 May 2003
b. 5 Jul 1947 in Cornell, Wis., to George and Betty LaRose HINTON"

Finally, should you run into a dead end with either of these sources,
you might also try the Eugene Public Library. Their online search
engine is several months behind, but they would certainly have either
a hard copy or microfiche of the newspaper in question from which you
could make a copy of the obituary. Contact information for them is
available here: http://www.ci.eugene.or.us/Library/hours_locations_cards/hours_frame.html

I sincerely hope this information proves helpful to you, and wish you
and your friend's mother all the best. Please ask for clarification
before rating and closing the question if you need any further help or
have any questions.

Regards,
--Byrd
