Connie Mack was the manager of the former Philadelphia Athletics from
1901-1950. On October 27, 1910, Connie married his second wife,
Katherine Agnes Hallahan. She had been born in Philadelphia,PA on
Feb.11,1873 and she supposedly died in Ambler,PA on December 12,1972.
I am seeking some kind of confirmation or verification on her date &
yr. of death. |

You do get us going with these questions! No answer coming but a
suggestion:
* no obituary for her in the NY Times (but you probably knew that).
Earle Mack, a son, died at 77 on Feb. 6, 1967 and she was still alive
then.
* Ruth Mack Clark, 89, is the last of Mack's 8 children. She's alive
and was interviewed by the Oakland Tribune on June 6, 2003. I had to
use the CACHED Google page to read that story.
* not having an answer, I have a suggestion: call the reference
librarian at the Ambler Public Library and ask her to look up an obit
in death notices of whatever newspaper they have available for that
period (the Philadelphia Daily News has the oldest online archive, but
it only goes to 1978):
Ambler Branch of Wissahickon Valley Public Library
209 Race Street
Ambler, PA 19002

Omnivorous,
How goes it my friend from past heroics? Well, I hope. Again, you
come across with a fine idea. I will do so tomorrow. They are closed
for today. She is not listed in the SS death index, so she may have
re-married. I will let you know as soon as I know. Thanks so much
for your invaluable assistance. bluestreak

Omnivorous,
Hi!
I am not finished! Believe it or not. I have called them on the
phone and they are supposed to search for me. I later emailed them
and still no answer. I don't know what I have to do to get their
attention. But I will persist until someone tells me something, one
way or another. But I'm grateful you have not forgotten. My policy
is to credit my researchers, not matter how long afterwards, if I can
get a sucessful hit. Thanks for keeping tuned! bluestreak
