Hello baldrick49-ga,
The USS Enterprise arrived off Portsmouth Harbor UK on June 13, 2001.
Below is an online reference which should help to verify that this
is the correct information.
From UK Defense Today:
One of the world's largest warships arrived off Portsmouth on 13
June. The USS Enterprise, powered by eight nuclear reactors,
displacing some 90,000 tons, and with 85 aircraft and 5,000 crew
aboard, anchored off Portsmouth. The anchors alone weigh 30 tons
apiece.
The first of the US Navy's nuclear aircraft carriers, and still (just)
the longest warship in the world, Enterprise and other NATO ships will
be taking part in a Royal Navy and Royal Air Force exercise, called
the Joint Maritime Course, held off Scotland in the latter two weeks
of June.
