Hi,
I require data/statistics on the Soccer Industry Equipment & Apparel
Market - (Soccer balls, accessories, uniforms, shoes, etc.) Broken
down as follows: - Overall World market size in $US - United States
and Canadian markets in US or Cacadian currency.

The answer should include a summery of Market Overview and Outlook,
Market Trends and a Description of each of the Key Competitors
including their Market Share, specifically - Adidas, Nike, Umbro,
Mitre, Lotto, Diadora and Reebok.

I have a limited amount of information for each competitor, which I
found on their corporate web sites. However, I need additional data
plus, most importantly - their market share.

I also have information on the number of soccer players, which I found
on the following links:

http://images.fifa.com/images/pdf/IP-499_06E_BC-finalreport.pdf
http://www.canadasoccer.com/eng/docs/2002_demographics_report.pdf
http://www.sgma.com/reports/data/2003/p28b-000-03.pdf

I would appreciate you assistance.

Thank you.

< I’ve given alternate routes below to the links that are not working
for you. If they still don’t work post a further clarification and I
will find another solution.

Alternate route to http://www.lotto.it/inglese/news.asp?sez=1&new=180
Go to http://www.lotto.it/
Click on ENTER or Skip into
Click on Press area
Click on Corporate
In right hand column click on January 15 2003

To reach http://seattle.bizjournals.com/seattle/stories/2001/06/04/story8.html
You will need to register as a member which is free of charge. To
register go to http://seattle.bizjournals.com/ then click on register
(left column). The link to the page should then work.

There is very little free information about the Canadian market.

Trendex Sports Vision produces a report on the Canadian sports apparel
market.
Estimated retail sales in 2002 were $1,178 million.
The summary gives retail sales since 1999 and a comparison of market
share of different types of retailers for 2000, 2001 and 2002.
The full report costs $525.00. However since you are only interested
in the soccer market it may be worthwhile trying to negotiate a price
just for the information that is relevant to your needs.
http://www.sportsvision.info/rprt_sprt_apparel.htm

Trendex Sports Vision also produces a report on the Canadian market
for volleyball, football and soccer equipment. The summary provides
estimated retail sales for 1999-2002 and a comparison of market share
for different outlets for the period 2000-2002.
