I would like to get a list of all trade magazines in Africa. I will
need all relevant contact information. If you could give me websites
and email addresses as well that would be helpful. Many of these could
be fee based subscriptions as well as free local or national
publications. Hopefully many of these will have actual buyers and
sellers of products and services.

Thank You,
Joel

Joel,

I am more than happy to have researched this question for you. The top
industries fueling Africa's economy are agriculture, mining, finance
and energy. The majority of Afrian trade magazines that I found are
published in English, though I also found one published in French and
one in Afrikaans (these are listed first):

Thanks for the information. Do you feel as though the information you
provided will include secondhand goods? I am sorry for not being more
clear. I want trade magazines that haveto do with ALL types of
secondhand goods. If it happens to include goods that are new then
that's fine, but my interest is specifically in secondhand goods. More
importantly, I am looking for buyers of secondhand goods, and to a
lesser degree sellers of them. In terms of finding buyers and sellers
that list what they have or what they want
on the internet, I feel like I've covered the bases, however if I
could find additional resources through trade magazines then that
would help significantly.

Thanks,
Joel

I would seriously love to literally ask about $ 7,500 more in
questions with the EXACT target that I am interested in, however since
Google is probably the biggest, and in my opinion the best, I can't
afford the exposure of speaking directly about my business or
interests. Unfortunately I have to cloak my desires in a type of
penultimate discussion. If I were able to retrieve my answers and then
erase all of the questions that I asked, then I would be much more
exhaustive in my search for answers, thoughts and discussions. In the
end I don't want my competition to have a "free" learning curve at my
expense.

Thank You,
Joel

Hello again, Joel,

Thank you for your clarification. Am I right in stating that instead
of African industry trade magazines, you want magazines that bring
traders (import/export) of secondhand goods (and to a lesser extent
sellers) together?

I believe I have found some periodicals that may satisfy your restated
request, only in that these are periodicals (they may not technically
be magazines) specifically about trade either in Africa or
internationally. I could not find references to whether these
periodicals target a secondhand or new goods trade professional.

Joel1357:

The trade magazines listed for Africa seem quite valuable. Generally,
I've not seen "secondhand goods" trade magazines as such. The trade
magazines with which I am familiar (machinery in general, plastic
processing, shoes & shoe machinery, textiles, clothing, converting,
packaging, chemicals, electronics, etc) have a classified ad section
in the back with "used" or "secondhand" products. The fact that I have
not seen a concentrated "secondhand" trade magazine does not mean that
one does not exist....just not found at this point.

If you would care to share a target market or product, it will make
the search more directed. I certainly could recommend trade rags of
which I am familiar if they match your specific interest.

The research done so far on this series of questions seems quite good,
in general, but I would expect a targeted approach could be of more
direct benefit if you would care to engage that type of reserch from
GA....

Good luck in your quest.

(Sorry, Joel. I just couldn't resist a little cheekiness. I
discovered how pretty Maldives is because of you, so I thought I'd
return the grin factor.)
