I am interested in getting my real estate broker's license for residential real estate. I live in San Francisco, CA, and would practice locally. Where can I go on the internet to find out what's required and what's avialable? |

Hi! Thanks for the question. The California State website provides the necessary requirements before you can take the licensure exam for real estate brokers in California. Other links discuss the process for application, exam schedules, plus tips on how to get a license. REAL ESTATE BROKER LICENSE http://www.dre.ca.gov/brkrlic.htm Application http://www.dre.ca.gov/brkrexam.htm Exam Scheduling http://www.dre.ca.gov/bexamsch.htm "Taking the Broker Examination" http://www.dre.ca.gov/takebexm.htm "Broker Examination Content and Test Questions" http://www.dre.ca.gov/bexamqs.htm "Help Avoid DENIAL of Your License Application" http://www.dre.ca.gov/denial.htm Our next link provides a way for you to search accredited California real estate schools. The direct link for the list doesn't function well so you must start at the search page. I suggest that you check all the boxes so you can get a complete list. Required Statutory Pre-License Real Estate Courses http://secure.dre.ca.gov/publicasp/CEStatutory.asp The schools located in San Francisco are the following: NOBLE FIELDS 870 MARKET STREET, STE 623 SAN FRANCISCO, CA 94102 (415) 956-6169 OLYMPIC REAL ESTATE ACADEMY 3738 IRVING STREET SAN FRANCISCO, CA 94122 (415) 759-1040 You can also take correspondence classes instead of live classroom study. Search Strategy: California "real estate" license requirements I hope these links would help you in your research.
