Hi! I found the record for the longest wedding train and also a
picture but the picture isn't indicative of how long it really was.
Would this be considered as a legitimate answer even if the picture
isn't very clear as regards this matter?

If you say yes I will post my answer and claim the fee.

Just let me know. :)

Hello Nick2646,
Easterangel allowed me to take this question, thanks. I decided to
post the answer already since the site I list below has the only
mention of the world's longest wedding dress train:

Guiness Book of World Records at 4to40.com
http://www.4to40.com/recordbook/default.asp?counter=50&category=

The pic is an angled overhead shot. I wasn't able to enlarge it since
the website stated "too many users" at the time I clicked on it, so I
hope you'd have better luck. I could find no other pic though; I
suppose Guinness Book has all the rights to pictures of it.

I hope this has been a most helpful answer. If you have any problem
with it, do please post a Request for Clarification and I shall
respond. Thank you.

Hello, thanks for message.
GWR has still got this one posted( 670 feet in Norway)
This is way out of date!!!!!!!!
GWR are not known for their helpfulness and I believe that the record
may be held by someone in Holland, but I`m unsure
It is a photo( not the one on the net)that I need of whatever is the
current record
thanks

I shall look for that information and tell you if I find anything. If
I don't, I can withdraw my answer. Hold on.

Hello Nick2646,
I found another account of what might be the world's longest train
yet, but as Easterangel said, it doesn't show the train in whole. Just
the bride dressed in it, plus a few meters spread in front of her. It
was worn by the Ethiopian athlete Elfinesh Alemu (I'd love to see her
do her sport in that dress, hehe).

IAAF.org - News - 25,000 guests attend Abera’s wedding in Addis Ababa

http://www.iaaf.org/news/Kind=2/newsId=21370.html
- 600 meters (1968 feet)!

Ethioquest News - Gezahagn, Elfinesh Married in public
http://ethioquest.com/secondary/sports/public.htm
- This one gives the length of the veil as 500 meters.

Google search term used:
longest wedding world train
alemu elfinesh

I hope this has fulfilled your expectations. If not, do let me know.
Thank you.
