Other than the Coast Guard historian's office, the National Archives,
the New Bedford Whaling Museum and the Fall River Marine Museum, how
might I swiftly obtain an official government report (federal, state,
or military) on the proximate causes of the the sinking of the
Vineyard Lightship on the night of the Hurricane of 1944? Time is of
the essence; I need it within days, not weeks.
